Made to measure belts that last for years
Momad specialise in making handcrafted leather belts, combining high quality cowhide with solid cast buckles. Mo sources hides from some of the best tanneries in Europe, with an eye to colour and environmental sustainability. Wherever possible the leathers are vegetable tanned and chrome free. You can choose from our range of leathers, buckles and styles to have your own custom made belt, one that comes with a five year guarantee and is a perfect fit.
Larger waists
We buy extra long leathers to meet the needs of customers for whom size matters. All of our leathers will allow for belts to a 44 inch waist. For waist sizes over 44 inches there is an asterisk against the colour choices.
Waist measurement
The easiest way is to tell us the size of the trousers you want the belt for. Unless specified otherwise, the belt will have five holes in it with the central one being the size you have requested. Please note that if you measure your waist over a belt and or top you are wearing the length could be 2" to 4" too long! For women who want a belt for both the waist and hips just tell us your dress size, 10/12/14/etc and we will make it to fit.
Special commissions
When time allows Mo is happy to make special orders to customer design, such as studded patterns, lacework and specialised plaited belts. He will give you a quote when discussing your order.
Buckles
We stock a wide range of buckles in solid brass, brass with nickel plating and antique finishes. Sizes vary according to their manufacture and come in both metric or imperial measurement. For practical reasons we sort these into 1", 1¼, 1½" and 2" belt widths. 1½" is the most usual size for jeans and 1¼" for more formal trousers. However, it is important to check the belt loop size on the trouser to avoid disappointment.
